Hi there everyone!
For anyone who read my latest Antiracist Accountability post and actually heeded my excellent advice to join TikTok, I have some happy updates! And one annoying one!
1) I used forager @alexisnikole's recipe to make forsythia simple syrup and mixed it with iced Earl Grey tea and it is DELICIOUS! The syrup tastes like a floral honey.
2) Animal facts expert @mndiaye_97 now has videos featured on @pbsnature's TikTok account. Get it!! I am so pumped for him to have more visibility because his videos are delightful and so informative!
3) And lastly, Jimmy Fallon still sucks (and don't be distracted by that HuffPost headline). For anyone wanting a primer in what cultural appropriation and failing to acknowledge Black TikTok creators while also exploiting their work, his recent behavior unfortunately provides an excellent example of what not to do.
